This year marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day. The day marked the end of almost 10 years of conflict in Europe. Across the globe over 75 million people lost their lives in one of the most atrocious conflicts the world has ever seen.
Today we mark their loss with remembrance and their victory with celebration. Though we can't be together, we are more aware than ever of the sacrifices that ordinary men and women make for us every day. Stay safe everyone
